Return Window
We offer a 30-day return policy for all eligible items, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return.
Eligibility for Returns
Ceramics & Accessories:
Must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging. You'll need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Matcha & Loose Leaf Tea:
Due to the perishable nature and hygiene considerations of food products, tea can only be returned if the package remains completely unopened and sealed. Once opened, tea products cannot be returned in accordance with EU consumer protection regulations regarding perishable goods.
Return Shipping
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Tea Huset takes no responsibility if the return shipment does not arrive due to faults on the part of the shipping carrier. We recommend using a tracked shipping service for returns.
How to Start a Return
To initiate a return, please contact us at contact@teahuset.com within 30 days of receiving your order. Include your order number and reason for return. If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package.
Important: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. Contact us right away at contact@teahuset.com if:
- The item is defective or damaged
- You received the wrong item
- The packaging appears tampered with or compromised
For shipping errors or damaged items on our part, we will cover return shipping costs and resolve the issue promptly.
Non-Returnable Items
In accordance with EU regulations on perishable goods, we cannot accept returns on:
- Opened tea products (matcha or loose leaf tea)
- Used ceramics and accessories
- Sale items or clearance products
- Gift cards
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the eligible item, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return and confirm whether the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10-14 business days.
Please note it may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
Your EU Consumer Rights
As an EU-based customer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive. This right does not apply to sealed perishable goods (such as tea) once opened, or to personalised items.
Quality Guarantee
If you receive a product that does not meet our quality standards despite proper handling and storage, please contact us within 7 days of receipt. We stand behind the quality of every product we offer.
